Kendal & District Angling Club

About the Club

Kendal and District Angling Club (KDAC) was formed in 1976 and is dedicated to coarse fishing. The fisheries under our control are Banks Pond at Old Hutton which is an excellent fishery recently restocked with some double figure carp after the installation of an otter fence. We also control Skelsmergh Tarn near Kendal, known for it's specimen tench and perch. At the start of 2017 KDAC took control of Atkinson's Tarn in Crook, a great mixed coarse fishery giving anglers a wide variety of species to fish for.

An agreement with British Waterways gives KDAC fishing rights on the Lancaster canal from Stainton to Tewitfield providing an excellent natural fishery with good stocks of Carp, Tench, Pike , Perch, Roach and Bream.

Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st and includes annual permits for both the canal and our waters.
As from the 1/1/2020 we also have an exchange permit with Ribchester And District Angling club for our members.
